So, Mark, what's up with the graphic

Well, I'm looking at tonight's "domestic" debate from a little different perspective. With the 1st debate, regarding foriegn policy, there were clear llines drawn. If you are "right-leaning" like me then you probably figure Bush has the right idea and Kerry has it all wrong. Sure, neither is perfect, or even close, and while the policies may be similar, there are distinctly different flavors in play.

Tonight, to me, is more about what the debaters have in common. Thus the graphic. Don't get me wrong, I'm backing Bush. I think he is clearly the better choice. But while Bush is pretty conservative standing next to Kerry, he is no conservative. From a domestic standpoint this is a choice between really, really bad and even worse.

What you will not hear about tonight is what really matters. Neither candidate will have anything useful to say about immigration, which is perhaps the single most important domestic issue. Nor will you hear anything about reducing the size or the role of government (at least nothing truthful).

That being said, let the games begin. All we can do is chew on what we are given. I don't think a Bush victory is really neccesary, contrary to what the media hype is, but I would certainly be encouraged to see one.

Bush's response: He is.

Kerry looks like a Zombie

I score that one for Bush.

question #2 - was the war justified?

Bush went after the UN scam, made a premptive strike by addressing the new "ISG" report.

Kerry: Bush is attacking me. "I have never changed my mind about Iraq"

Bush says "what's kerry gonna say, come join me in the wrong war at the wrong time". This was one of his better points from the first debate.

So far this is like a condensed version of debate one.

Bush is now talking about Reagan, that can't hurt.

Bush needs to calm down a bit. There is a fine line between fired-up and angry.

Kerry stated that Shinseki was fired over troop levels. That is a lie. The guy retired ferchissake

Kerry slammed the US for developing "bunker busters" AGAIN.

Bush made a joke about wanting to scowl

Now he is cracking a grin while slamming Kerry. It's like he can read my mind. Maybe I'll just start typing suggestions instead.

Bush is taking no BS tonight. He cut off the the moderator to forcefully reply to Kerry.

Kerry went with the 90% of costs and casualties stuff again. Bush should stuff him with the same response the Cheney stuffed Edwards with on Tues.

I think I've heard "I have a plan" at least 20 times already tonight. Just to be fair, I'll call it 10 and start a count as of now.

Bush gets on Kerry for supposedly being for award caps but not showing up to vote on it.

"Senator Gone", it worked well before.

Kerry is playing class warfare. Kerry doen't play the part of "common man" very well.
